The prettiest hotel terraces in Barcelona are also the best-hidden, but we have dug them out for you. They are often tucked away on a hotel roof, so get ready to go up in the world!

  • These terraces are open to the public, and not just hotel guests, during the times shown in each paragraph.

1. The most mind-blowing: Hotel 1898

It’s no accident that the terrace of the 1898 is located on the 7th floor, as it takes you to 7th heaven! It is an unexpected oasis in the heart of the Ramblas.

The menu offers fine tapas made with products brought straight from the Boquería market. Expect to pay between 8 and 15 euros. It’s not cheap but the setting and the unique character of the 1898 terrace are worth it.

Cocktails cost between 10 and 15 euros.

  • Our advice: order the raspberry tart. It will give you chills!
  • Avoid the orange juice, it’s far from the best we’ve had in Barcelona.

2. The trendiest: Wet Bar

Wet Bar, is the gem at the hotel W Barcelona with palm trees, sea view and deck chairs…it’s like a postcard!

Arrive from 8pm to get the last ones of the day. The atmosphere is quiet but on Sundays in Summer, DJs bring a festive and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

  • Entry is based on a list (register for free on Facebook) and the nights are always a wild success!

On the menu are snacks, tapas and a long list of unusual cocktails, such as the pineapple and ginger mojito.

3. The most modernist : Condes de Barcelona

The Condes de Barcelona hotel terrace offers an incomparable view of Gaudí‘s famous Pedrera. But that’s not all! From this large terrace you can also see Montjuïc, the Tibidabo hills, the Sagrada Familia and the Agbar tower.

In Summer, bands and DJs add a little extra atmosphere.

4. The best view: Barceló Raval

The Barceló Raval is a suprising avant-garde hotel. The terrace offers a breathtaking 360º view of the whole city. Terraces like these are rare in Barcelona!

Walk the whole way around, choose your favourite view and sit down to enjoy a wine, beer or cocktail for between 5 and 15 euros.
When? Monday to Sunday from 6pm to midnight and until 1am at the weekend.
How much? From 4 euros

5. The most Mediterranean: Duquesa de Cardona

The Duquesa de Cardona’s terrace offers a superb view of the port. It is divided into two parts: shaded and sunny. Pick your favourite!

This is a particularly good place to try a cocktail, made in collaboration with Ideal bar, a really mythical Barcelona venue.

If you fancy a snack, go for the tapas or salads. Food is served every evening from 1pm to 4pm and from 7:30pm to 11pm.

6. The most intimate : Pulitzer

The Pulitzer terrace stands out for its floral decoration and its view. Make yourself comfortable and order one of the many cocktails on the menu, with some tapas to go with it. Expect to pay around 10 euros for a cocktail and between 3 and 10 euros for a tapa. If you want to eat something more substantial, order a full portion.

DJs or acoustic music sessions are organised from May to August.

7. The most stylish : Hotel Espanya

The splendid art nouveau hotel Espanya is located just a few metres from the Ramblas, but the terrace is very quiet. However, some evenings in the week it becomes a bit more animated with a DJ and musicians.

What distinguishes it, apart from the surprising design of its chairs, are the football match projections that they regularly organise.
