No wonder he chose the Mariatchi, a bar that is just like the artist: natural and unpretentious. I<\/span>t&#8217;s easy to imagine him sitting at the bar sipping on his<em> ca&ntilde;a<\/em> or<span class=\"s1\">&nbsp;ready to scratch his guitar<\/span>!<\/p>\n<ul class=\"is-style-checklist\">\n<li>Located in the heart of the old town, this is a great place to visit if you want to have a great time without breaking the bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The Mariatchi: a bar with a relaxed party atmosphere<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Mariatchi<\/em>, is also the name of a Mexican style of music characterised by string instruments, trumpets and singing. Prepare to come here casual and with a smile on your face!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Mariatchi: a cheap bar in the middle of the Gothic quarter<\/h2>\n<p>\nWhat better than low prices to keep you in a good mood? One thing is clear, there is nothing to fear from the bill! To give you an idea, beer and wine are 2.50 euros, sangria is 3.50 and cocktails (50ml!) are 7 euros. Soft drinks are 2 euros.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"is-style-checklist\">\n<li>The prices are even better when you consider that the Mariatchi is located in the Gothic district which is very touristic and therefore more expensive. It&#8217;s not always easy to find affordable prices. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Mariatchi doesn&#8217;t serve food apart from olives (1.50 euros) or handmade crisps (2.50 euros) to munch on, but they might not tide you over for too long!<\/li>\n<li>If you prefer not to get there with an empty stomach, you can enjoy the tapas at <a href=\"\/alcoba-azul-restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alcoba Azul<\/a>,&nbsp; <a href=\"\/bormuth-tapas-bar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bormuth<\/a>&nbsp;or <a href=\"\/la-xampanyeria-tapas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xampanyeria<\/a> all located around the Mariatchi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6946 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/03\/Mariatchi-bar-carte-article.jpg\" alt=\"Mariatchi-bar-menu-article\" width=\"628\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/barcelona-top-travel-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/03\/Mariatchi-bar-carte-article.jpg 628w, https:\/\/barcelona-top-travel-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/03\/Mariatchi-bar-carte-article-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul class=\"is-style-checklist\">\n<li>If you&#8217;re lucky you might get to see one of the &#8220;spontaneous&#8221; concerts that sometimes strike up at the Mariatchi<\/li>\n<li>Rumour has it that Manu Chao shows up from time to time, particularly in Winter when there are fewer tourists.
