Barcelona’s gothic quarter is a maze of little pedestrianised streets packed with history, charm, restaurants, bars and shops! During a recent stroll around the area, a rather sophisticated façade, featuring Liberty motifs and pretty plants, caught our eye. The location? Claudine, an elegant and sophisticated little shop which is well worth a visit!

Claudine: combining fashion and elegance

If, like us, you have a penchant for jewellery and other accessories, then Claudine will be right up your street!

The shop is positively brimming with necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings, all with one thing in common: delicate styling with a contemporary touch. What’s more, it’s all hand made. Most of the pieces are by French designers, but some of the items on sale are by local artists.

Don’t forget to look up, or you might miss the shelves of colourful and fashionable bags. Claudine also sells sunglasses, hats and a range of other accessories – with so much on offer, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

In addition to accessories, Claudine carries a small range of clothing, carefully arranged on rails and in display cases. The items in question follow the same theme as the accessories: elegant and understated, but made from the best materials. The décor and furniture combine to create a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere – it’s almost like being invited into someone’s house.

Claudine: accessible pricing

The prices at Claudine are very reasonable, so if you can limit yourself to one or two select items, then you won’t be breaking the bank! Accessories start from around 8 euros, although most of the jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings) is around the 15-20 euro price mark. Bags are priced from around 30 to 40 euros, depending on their size, the materials used and the design.
