This year, the new edition will involve hundreds of video screenings, with lots of exhibitions in many public spaces across the city. Every year, many artists participate in the event, with the aim of showcasing the different forms and dimensions of video art and highlighting its differences from conventional cinema.<br \/>\nConferences, workshops and professional meet-ups were also&nbsp;arranged throughout Barcelona.\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There&#8217;s also a Loop Fair from 19th &#8211; 21st November, presenting the work of many innovative artists from the world of video art.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Where is the Loop Festival held?<\/h2>\n<p>\nThe festival is a city-wide event, held in museums, art galleries and cinemas including the <a href=\"\/filmoteca-catalunya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Filmoteca de Catalunya<\/a>, the <a href=\"\/cccb-contemporary-culture-museum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CCCB<\/a>, the <a href=\"\/macba-contemporary-art-museum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MACBA<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;the <a href=\"\/antoni-tapies-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Antoni T&agrave;pies Foundation<\/a>, amongst others!<\/p>\n<ul class=\"is-style-checklist\">\n<li>For the full festival programme, <a href=\"https:\/\/loop-barcelona.com\/agenda\/\" class=\"broken_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5052 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/05\/Loop-article-2.jpg\" alt=\"Loop-article-2\" width=\"628\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/barcelona-top-travel-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/05\/Loop-article-2.jpg 628w, https:\/\/barcelona-top-travel-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/05\/Loop-article-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Loop also takes over some of the city&#8217;s streets and public spaces. Last year, videos were&nbsp;projected from the windows of apartments in the Born, Raval and G&ograve;tic quarters for the first time &#8211; so keep your eyes open this year too!<\/p>\n<h2>Useful information<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Prices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Access to screenings, exhibitions and performances is free, with the exception of events held in cinemas: in this case, entry costs between around &euro;6.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Times<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Visual events are held normally between 12pm and 8.30pm.
