<\/a><\/p>\nThe Passeig de Gràcia’s main attraction, though, is the fact that it’s home to two of Gaudí’s most incredible works of art: the otherworldly Casa Batlló and the curvaceous Pedrera.<\/p>\n
The only fly in the ointment (so to speak) is the food on offer – many of the cafés and restaurants along the avenue charge exorbitant prices. Never fear, Top Travel Tips here! We’ve hunted down a good selection of varied, tasty and reasonably-priced options.<\/p>\n We {heart} Vinitus, a tapas bar which has rapidly become something of an institution in Barcelona! For more information, see our article on tasty and well-known tapas bars in Barcelona<\/a>.<\/p>\n Expect to find tasty and reasonably-priced tapas, along with an extensive wine list, all served in a pretty restaurant with a little terrace overlooking the street. What more could you want?\n<\/p>\n Where?<\/strong><\/p>\n Carrer del Consell de Cent, 333 Set on the pretty Rambla Catalunya, MasQMenos is pretty eye-catching, with hams and bottles of wine lining the walls.<\/p>\n It’s an à la carte affair, so there’s no bargain lunch menu, but there’s a wide range of simple and tasty dishes on offer.<\/p>\n We recommend the cocas or coques, a local speciality with a bread base, rather like pizza, and multiple toppings.\n<\/p>\n \nNote that the portions aren’t huge, so if you’re hungry, you may need more than one coca <\/em>(around €6\/piece). Something to bear in mind if you’re watching your budget.<\/p>\n MasQMenos is a good option at any time of day, with a wide variety of sweet treats, fruit juices and smoothies.<\/p>\n The restaurant has a terrace on La Rambla, but there’s a 10% service supplement if you choose to eat outside.\n<\/p>\n Where? <\/strong><\/p>\n Rambla Catalunya, 46 (between Aragó and Consell de Cent) <\/p>\n At Trencadís, the focus is on healthy, tasty food. On weekdays, the lunch menu will set you back around 12 euros. Alongside the “classic” menu, there’s an innovative “vegan” option – and you’re free to mix and match between the two.<\/p>\n The range of choices on offer means that there’s something for everyone, from full-on carnivores to devoted vegans.<\/p>\n The Indian-style cuisine is original, well-balanced and tasty. We’ve visited several times, and favourites have included the vegan moussaka, the veggie burger and the amazing falafel.<\/p>\n Where?<\/strong> Pau Claris, 143 A stone’s throw from Casa Batlló, Mussol is the ideal place to try Catalan cuisine. The restaurant offers a range of typical dishes at very reasonable prices. The menu is extremely varied, and the portions are generous and well-presented.<\/p>\n Where? <\/strong>Aragó, 261 Do you love Mexican cuisine? Just a few meters from the Passeig de Gràcia, on Calle Aragón, is a small Mexican restaurant. It’s not easy to find, but once you have tried it you will certainly find your way back again, as it’s impossible to resist a second visit!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Our favorite were definitely the nachos! (See photo above). You will be served several types of homemade salsa.
