The best-known festivals in Barcelona (Primavera Sound, Sónar) are held in the spring – but the music goes on all year round! Here are a few options for the autumn.

Autumn festivals in Barcelona: the BAM Festival

The BAM (Barcelona Acción Música) festival is held in September, during the Mercè Festival, which includes a wide variety of free events.

Over the course of 4 days, stages are set up across the city (Port Vell, Plaça Catalunya, Plaça Sant Jaume, Plaça dels Angels, etc.), playing host to a continuous stream of groups. See the event programme for more details.

Barcelona Jazz Festival

The Barcelona Jazz Festival is a major cultural event, held across several venues, including the sublime Palau de la Música and the Harlem Jazz Club. There are no passes for this festival: you’ll need to buy separate tickets for each concert you want to see. That way, you can tailor the experience to your tastes!

Mira Festival

The Mira Festival follows a similar concept to Sónar, featuring electro music and visual arts. Mira means “look” in Spanish – like the English word “admire”.

Each musical performance is accompanied by a video projection, creating a decidedly psychedelic feel! See below for a quick taster:
