Hotel Denit: minimalism and comfort in the heart of Barcelona
The Denit is a three star hotel ideally located in the heart of the gothic quarter. Although a stone’s throw from Portal del Angel, a principal pedestrianised shopping street, the hotel is nestled in a very quiet little street, ensuring peaceful nights for guests.
The hotel Denit’s decor
The hotel Denit has a very simplistic and almost all-white decor, giving it a cool, refreshing atmosphere that is very welcoming in Summer! The muted surroundings create a minimalist atmosphere throughout the hotel.
However, in spite of this, the decor is not impersonal, but rather cosy and functional, and even in the smallest rooms everything is organised to give an impression of open space.
The communal parts of the hotel Denit
To the right of reception there is a comfortable little lounge (all in white, obviously) that is perfect for reading the magazines provided, or equally for enjoying one of the drinks or snacks available from reception. On the other side, there is a long wooden table with freely accessible computers.
The cafeteria, where breakfast is served, is below ground. However, the pretty white minimalist decoration together with a well planned use of wood, make it a very pleasant space.
Rooms at the hotel Denit
The Denit’s rooms are selected rather in the same way as clothes: it’s up to you to decide whether you are S, M, L, or XL.
The S rooms are single rooms for one person, the Ms are doubles for one person, the Ls are standard doubles and the XLs are superior double rooms. All of them have practical storage space, a desk with a pretty chair and a small bathroom.
Little bonuses at the hotel Denit
One thing that’s great about the Denit is that a simple stroll through the hotel’s corridors teaches you a lot about Barcelona, as all of the walls are tattooed with recommendations for cafés, bars, restaurants or little boutiques. Needless to say, we really like this idea!
Furthermore, all the rooms are fitted with speakers for Apple products, although there’s no need to worry about your neighbours, as all the rooms are also soundproofed.
Useful information
- Check in is at 3pm, and keys should be returned by 12pm on your last day.
- Reception is open 24 hours.
- A free luggage service means you can safely leave your bags at the hotel.
- Finally, all the rooms are fitted with individual temperature controls so you can adjust the air conditioning or heating yourself.
