Madanis Hotels: budget-friendly accommodation opposite Camp Nou
We’ve been swamped with requests for information concerning accommodation around Camp Nou, and so we went off to see what we could find. What did we discover? The Madanis hotels, which combine everything you might need for a pleasant stay in Barcelona.
Accommodation 100 metres from Camp Nou
The Madanis complex is made up of three buildings: a 3 star hotel, a 4 star hotel and an apartment block.
The buildings are grouped together, less than 100 metres from Camp Nou. They’re also very easy to find, as they’re signposted from the Collblanc metro station.
The Madanis complex isn’t in Barcelona itself, but in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The area is more lively than certain quarters of Barcelona, though, and there’s a metro station within minutes.
The Madanis Hotels
4 star hotel
The 4 star hotel is the main Madanis building. It includes a reception with a computer for public use, a breakfast room and a café. There are three types of rooms: singles, doubles with room for two adults and a child on a fold-out bed, and superior doubles. The latter offer private wifi connections, robes and tea and coffee-making facilities.
All of the rooms are spacious and come equipped with a safe and mini-bar. The bathrooms vary from one room to another, some with showers, some with baths. Remember to note your preference when booking. You should also specify if you prefer a double or twin beds.
In the low season, rooms are available from 50-60 euros a night.
3 star hotel
The 3 star hotel is very similar to its 4-star sister. The main difference is that it doesn’t have its own reception and dining room, but that’s not really a problem, given that the main reception and café are only a minute away. There’s also no minibar in the 3-star bedrooms.
Breakfasts
The Madanis offers two types of breakfast: an express option and an all-you-can-eat buffet. The express option inclides 4 mini-pastries, coffee and a glass of orange juice, all for around 5 euros.
The buffet option costs around 10 euros. It’s very varied, and even includes “special diet” options, with dried fruit, sugar-free biscuits and soya lecithin, amongst other things.
