The Ofelias Hotel: a charming palace of mirrors in Barcelona
The Ofelias Hotel is a fabulous superior 4-star hotel in Barcelona, situated just opposite a former bullfighting arena, now transformed into a major shopping centre. It is well-connected to the airport and to the city centre, a stone’s throw from the nearest metro station, and on several bus routes.

Reception
The first thing that hits you on entering the Ofelias Hotel is the beauty of the place. The reception area is like a hall of mirrors, with never-ending reflections creating a strangely soft, elegant and luxurious atmosphere.
A subtle perfume floats on the air, without being overwhelming. One thing’s for certain: once inside the hotel, you’ll be miles away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, swept away on a wave of wellbeing.
The small lounge
Cross the little bridge underneath the lightwell to reach the small salon, with its luxurious panelled walls and an intimate, comfortable vibe.
All you’ll want to do is curl up in one of the armchairs or on the daybed, order a drink from reception, grab a book from the shelf and make the most of the moment. The small lounge is the ideal place to relax after a long day’s exploring.
The restaurant
The restaurant at the Ofelias is similarly comfortable and sophisticated. It’s only open for breakfast, a full buffet which even features a range of organic products. It’ll set you back €17.
If it’s nice, you can even have breakfast outside on the terrace, which is warm and pretty.
The pool
The little pool is hidden away on the top floor of the Ofelias, out of sight. The calm and green terrace is the perfect place to relax.
Deckchairs are provided, so lie back, close your eyes… and let the warmth of the sun do the rest!
Rooms at the Ofelias
All of the standard rooms come with showers and very comfortable beds. Some have twin beds, others doubles: remember to specify your preference when booking.
Some of the standard rooms open onto a private terrace, with garden furniture and an upholstered bench. These rooms are slightly more expensive.
The most expensive rooms in the hotel are the Deluxe Suites, which are larger and feature jacuzzi baths in addition to the shower. Slippers and robes are provided.
