One day, strolling around the Eixample quarter and heading up rue Rosselló, we found ourselves face-to-face with a life-sized indigo silhouette, standing outside a shop with a very bright, attractive window display.
After that, of course we went in. The shop was Dos i una. Two plus one… why yes, that makes three. What of it?
Dos i una: gifts for children from 0 to 99
You’ll soon be drawn in to the depths of the shop, divided into three main sections, by their impressive range of attractive products. Whether you’re looking for a present for your friend’s newborn baby or something for your grandfather who already seems to have everything, this is the place to find it.
Dos i una: fun, original gift ideas
Dos i una is a proper Aladdin’s cave: everywhere you turn, you’ll find yet another gift idea for someone else on your list.
Designer lamps, pieces by local artists, funky kitchen implements, quirky clocks, wacky toys, scarves, ties, T-shirts, baby clothes, gadgets, accessories, jewellery… it might be quicker to list things they don’t sell!
Gifts for all budgets
A trip to Dos i Una isn’t as bad for your finances as you might think. There are lots of great ideas in the 5-20 euro price range. Some items are more expensive, but nothing too excessive.
Our favourite Dos i Una find
The shop is positively overflowing with fabulous gift ideas, but our absolute favourite was the collection of brightly-coloured babygros, each with a pouch and its own soft toy! It’s enough to make anyone broody…
Every time we visit Dos i Una, we find something new – so we’re not likely to run out of gift ideas any time soon. Go on, give it a try!
