Come in. Sit down. Breathe. Relax. Forget the tumult of the streets. You’re at Federal Café, and we think you’ll like it.

Federal Café has style

The decor at the Federal Café adds a lot to the chilled out atmosphere. It is simplistic and graphic with splashes of light wood and plants.

  • Go there on nice days when you can enjoy the Federal Café terrace. It’s even more charming.

Federal Café is friendly

The ground floor is the most spacious part of the café: a gigantic table reigns over the middle of the room, and it’s there that a number of freelancers and designers come to work, creating a trendy, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Federal Café is also a very special place for people-watching if you love to look out on the world going by. In good weather some tables leak out of the café onto the street and from there, with one foot in and one out, you you can enjoy the city sights while remaining in the calm of the Federal.

Federal Café loves fresh air

The higher you go, the more the Federal’s atmosphere becomes quiet and intimate, peaking on the 2nd floor terrace where the noise of the street is blocked out and the only thing you can hear is the soothing sound of water running in the fountain.

  • The terrace is closed in Winter. The rest of the year a 10% surcharge applies if you want to sit here.

Federal Café cooks all day

Breakfast and brunch

Federal Café is a really nice place to have breakfast, and the food also happens to be excellent! Whether you’re looking for sweet or savoury, you’ll find your pleasure among the eggs florentine, special toasted sandwiches, cupcakes and other homemade cakes.

Federal Café is also a great place for brunch, which is available from opening time to 1pm during the week and until 4pm at the weekend. However, there is no set brunch menu, you just choose from the à la carte menu.

Lunch

From 1pm you can enjoy original and tasty mixed salads for less than 10 euros.

If you prefer a surprising sandwich or burger there is both kangaroo and rabbit! But if you’re not feeling too adventurous there are plenty of more traditional options to choose from.

Federal Café also offers hot dishes for less than 15 euros, and they follow the style of the rest of the menu by being original and surprising!

For two

The Federal Café kitchen is open all day, so you can enjoy tapas at any time: fried almonds in herbs, homemade pâté with caramelised onions and olive bread, chicken wings in honey or ginger sauce… take your pick! Tapas cost between 2 and 10 euros.

To wash it down

The café offers a wide range of drinks: smoothies, organic juices, coffees, beer, wine or surprising cocktails, all for between 3 and 10 euros.

Federal Café is eco-friendly

Dishes at Federal Café are made from local products and all coffee is fair trade. You can also replace the cow’s milk in your drink with soya milk or opt for a craft beer.

Federal Café is really cool!
