Consider the Plaça de la Concòrdia, in the Les Corts quarter, with its vintage pharmacy, famous cake shop , modernist culture centre, little church, villagey atmosphere and nonchalant passers-by. Could it get much better? Well, yes – this is also where you’ll find Fragments cafè, the cherry on the cake.

Fragments Cafè: tapas bar, cocktail bar, restaurant and café

For a little treat, summer or winter, before or after a Barça match, for example, try Fragments cafè, which combines Italian-style food with cocktails and excellent tapas. Particularly famous for its patatas bravas, Fragments is located on the ground floor of a character property, which has been transformed into a bar-restaurant with four different “zones”:

  • Zone 1: tables on the square, for drinks in the sun
  • Zone 2:  the tapas or cocktail bar (depending on the time of day)
  • Zone 3: the restaurant “proper”
  • Zone 4: the covered garden terrace, heated in the winter

Eating at Fragments Cafè

Fragments Cafè offers unusual selections of tapas, tasty seasonal dishes and excellent desserts.

Note that the a la carte menu is more expensive. You may also have to wait a while for your meal, as the kitchen is very small compared to the size of the restaurant (6m2) – the owners have even added a note of apology at the end of the menu.

Fragments Cafè is simply not a place to eat in a hurry. Just play along and take your time – you’ll find it’s worth it.

Lunch on the terrace

From 1pm, Tuesday to Friday, a simple but tasty and fresh set lunch is available for under 15 euros. The quality of the products is exceptional and all of the dishes have their own original twist, something which makes all the difference.

Reservation is essential, preferably at least two days before. It can be hard to find a space otherwise, especially if you want to eat on the covered terrace, which is warm in winter and cool in summer: a pleasant, restful place to eat which comes highly recommended.
